The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has prescribed the official syllabus for the Jharkhand Intermediate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JILCCE). Recruitment Overview
The JILCCE recruitment provides an opportunity for Intermediate-qualified candidates to secure government jobs in various departments of the Jharkhand Government.
The Preliminary Examination is conducted to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination. The paper consists of objective-type questions from five subjects. Candidates should prepare each section according to the official syllabus to maximise their chances of qualifying for the next stage.
The General Studies section evaluates candidates’ awareness of current affairs and important national and international events. Questions are designed to assess the candidate’s understanding of history, geography, polity, economy, and other general awareness topics.

JSSC Inter Level Main Syllabus 2026
Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. The Main Examination consists of three papers, each testing different competencies required for Intermediate-level government posts.
JSSC Inter Level Paper-I Syllabus (Language)
Paper-I is a qualifying paper that evaluates candidates’ proficiency in Hindi and English. The paper consists of 120 questions, with equal weightage given to both languages. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by JSSC.
